The leaves are starting to fall and the night time air is getting cooler, letting us know another bike season is coming to an end. We missed the spring rally of the Higgiston Hawg Fest, but Big Rick & Brandi of Full Throttle were there to cover all the action. As I understand it, people were complaining about all the "RULES" that were in place for the spring rally. Well, for the fall rally the only rule was to party as hard as you can and even though the crowd was way down, party we did. The last time the promoters had to put up with a lot of slack from the local towns people, but after raising over $7000.00 for a little girl, the town folks said the bikers are not all that bad. Ya know it's funny how money changes a person's mind about bikers, they might not like us but they can't wait to take our money! Enough about that, back to the party The band Southern Mischief kept the crowd rocking until the police came in around 1am to shut them down, now that's a party. The bike games were hosted by ABATE D10 with Howard Brown keeping the action going. US Rider hosted the Bike Show with the Miller High Life Girls giving out some very nice trophies for 1st thru 3rd place. Then it was on to the shampoo wrestling and wet tee contest, like I said no rules in the wet tee's so the girls got down to business. The ladies were not left out either, with the men putting on a best buns and hairy chest contest, that you had to been there to see. I even challenged US Rider to go up against Full Throttle in the Banana Peeling Contest, you put a banana between your legs and your partner can only use their teeth to peel the banana, well we lost. No one peels a banana like the couple from US Rider; you're the King & Queen in that contest! So if you weren't there you missed one hell of a party and we are planning on being back for the 2009 rally season, and yes the bikers did raise more money for another charity and the Higgiston Volunteer Fire Department. No, I guess the Bikers aren't all that bad after all, we just like to party while we give up our hard earned dollar!!
Until next time, ride
safe, have fun, and keep your freedom Alive!
